Who you are dealing with
Your order is with URD PATEL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 13410092, trading as GelliLocal (Gelli Costcutter) at 184-186 Gelli Road, Rhondda CF41 7NA, which is also its registered office.
Contact us on 01443 434794 or at support@gellilocal.co.uk.
Where we deliver
Within 1 mile of the shop, measured in a straight line in any direction. The app checks your postcode and tells you before you order. Outside that, Click & Collect is still available.
When we deliver
Slots run 12pm – 7pm, seven days a week. Weekends can take a little longer.
Each speed has its own cut-off, because it has to reach you before slots close: Standard by 5pm, Classic by 6pm, Premium by 6:30pm. Order after that and we deliver from noon the next day. The app will not offer a slot it cannot meet.
Prices and what is on the shelf
Prices are those shown in the app when you order. We try to keep stock accurate, but a shop is a physical place — occasionally something sells before we pick it. If we cannot supply an item we refund it; we do not substitute without asking.
If a price is obviously wrong — a clear mistake rather than a keen deal — we will contact you before charging rather than hold you to it.
Age-restricted goods
Alcohol and tobacco are sold to over-18s only, and we operate Challenge 25. Whatever your age, our driver will ask for photographic ID at the door if you look under 25.
We accept a passport, a UK photocard driving licence, a PASS-accredited card, a military ID or a biometric residence permit. A birth certificate is not acceptable — it carries no photograph.
If nobody present can produce valid ID, those items go back to the shop and are refunded. The rest of the order is handed over as normal. We will not hand alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated; that is not discretion, it is the law.
If nobody is there
Someone needs to be in to take the order — we do not leave shopping on a doorstep. If we cannot deliver because nobody is available, the order comes back to the shop and is refunded, and a failed delivery charge of up to £5 may be deducted.
If you know you will be out, ring us before the driver leaves and there is no charge.
Cancelling
Ring us and we will cancel and refund in full, as long as we have not already left with your order. Because groceries are perishable and picked to order, the usual 14-day distance-selling cancellation right does not apply once an order is on its way.
Something wrong with your order
Tell us the same day and we will put it right — a refund or a replacement, whichever you prefer. Nothing here affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for orders placed from your account. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
We may refuse or cancel an order — for example where we cannot verify age, where an address is outside our area, or where an account is being misused.
Payment
Payments are taken by Square. We never see or hold your card details. Payment is taken when you place the order; anything we cannot supply is refunded to the same card.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are for its courts.
